On my First Roadshow Selling "No 1 Unit Trust in Malaysia"

Me at Kepong Carrefour

A week after I passed my FMUTM exam. Such a big girl now, am going back for a roadshow works reminded me of my youthful days. The best thing is, I was placed in Kepong's Carrefour Hypermarket. Guess what? I had to speak to my customers in Cantonese and Mandrin man! Which I had hard time. But by God's grace I could speak better than my usual days. I learnt a lot of new words.
  • Unit Trust = "Sun Tok Kei Kum"
  • Public = "Tai Chung"
  • Interest = "Lei Sek"
  • Dividend = "Ku Sek"

Wow! So cool...never knew that. Hehe.

More than that, I learnt from this humbling experience, which are more rewarding in terms of character building. They are;

  1. Boldness in speaking to strangers
  2. Learning how to seize the opportunity
  3. Persistency and keeping the momentum
  4. Face rejections in joy and gratitute and still feeling "WOW!"
  5. Learn how to speak mandrin and cantonese
  6. Learning from the most experienced leaders, my blessings
  7. FOCUS! Focus on positivity and not negativity
  8. Humbling myself to ask - this is the hardest but the most important way to mold my character.

Roadshow in Kepong? I love the people there. Not that they bought a million ringgit investment from me, but it is them - an open door for me to meet people of all walks of life. My first client - he is a lorry driver, with a dream to invest with us though it is small.

God Bless You!

If you love me, support me lah.... just listen to my presentation will do. :D

GAMBATE in your life!

A Moment of Green Thumbs

when you buy a new plant, you need to transfer to a bigger pot so that it can grow... :)

a bigger pot, with a drainage hole is better because the roots of a plant can die if over watering

insert some stones into the pot

put some soil

loosen up the roots and soil so that the roots can grow better...

Tadaa! sprinkle some water on it

Mummy's tip: Never water the plant under the hot afternoon sun. The best time to water them is late morning or in the late afternoon.

PB Mutual National Sales Convention

Me

These are almost 4,000 people qualified here for overseas incentive trip, some to Ho Chih Minh, Hokaido, Etc. I wish I can be one of them too.

One best thing I learnt from David Lim who is from the Everest Motivation Team is "Everyone can be a champion!" He led a team to Everest, successful; came back paralyzed due GBS Syndrome, picked himself up again and then lead a team of disables to mountains. He led those who are limbless - no hands and legs. This made me think, what are we doing with every breath of our life man! Misery or making things happen?

Hosea Loves Gomer

“The Lord said to me, ‘Go show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is adulteress. Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they may turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes” Hosea 3:1

Last two days ago, in the wee hours of the morning, I came across of a very beautiful love story about Hosea and his adulteress wife, Gomer. I was really touched by this story.

Hosea is a man who loves the Lord very much and under God's command he married Gomer an adulteress wife. But why?

Then, Hosea bought Gomer (his wife) back from prostitution and slave as mistress to another man but with a condition that she must not be a prostitute or intimate with other men.

He loved her just as God loves the people. Gomer (Hosea’s wife) was no longer worth as much to anyone except to Hosea.

The moral of this real life story is no matter how low we sink, God is willing to buy us back – to redeem us – and lift us again. This is just as Hosea bought Gomer back from slavery and prostitution.

Essential Inside

When I was just a little girl, I ask my mother, what will I be? Will I be pretty, will I be rich?

They are talented, precious, vulnerable and too important!!!

Why God is important in every child?

"We can't change the world, how the world could influence our children, but we can develop our children from the inside. We can't change outside but what's in the child!" Anonymous

I was reflecting on Nurin's case....
Nurin's killer was once a child too, but how come he became a brutal rapist and murder???

My Birthday Surprise!

It was just yesterday night, around 11pm I came home after my training at PB Mutual. I did not anticipate any celebration or surprises for my birthday as this is my busy week. My schedules are fully packed every night!

BUT, I was so surprise to come home with a surprise from dear Calvin. He hid in my room and presented all the gifts on my bed. No wonder my mom looks so fishy, because suddenly she said that she will cook my maggie mee for me, which she seldom will.

He surprised me with a new friend, CJ7!
My CJ7, from the moment I woke up this morning. :)

Life is good and God is good to me. I am so delighted and excited about life because of His great love for me. The kind of love that I can share with my loved ones as well. The kind of love that keeps my life going.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Reporting from Kampung Merjuk for the Orang Asli

It was just less than two weeks ago Abby Loh, invited me to join Brother Khew to Sungai Merjuk for one day Mission Trip. We were asked to prepare a simple Children Program and prepare some tit bits. It was just a few hours trip but indeed a fruitful one.

All the brothers
Abby Loh and Brother Khew behind

Our journey into Kampung Merjuk, it is deserted up on the hill.

There were 13 to 15 kids with us and a couple. There were also these couple whose names are En Harith* and Pn Rosiana*. They are Christians and they opened their house to fellowship.

The collection of tins and stuff they sell to make a living.

Telling them the story of "The Parable of The Lost Sheep"

Most of them do not attend school because they do not have uniforms. The do not even know how to write their name. They don’t even have sufficient stationeries but just a box of random color pencils. They do not have clean clothes to wear too.

A good solid meal will be a blessing to them.

My final note to this matter, I found that most of these little ones do not attend schools and this matter has been going on in their generations. One of the reasons given was that they do not have school uniforms to go to school. My utmost thoughts were what happened to the budget that the Government should allocate for the Orang Asli in Malaysia??

Why are they the neglected ones? How can the generations of Orang Asli face breakthrough in future??
