Phew! Finally, my bible class for New Testament Survey has come to a relieving closure yesterday. We had our final paper last night. Our finals took us three hours. I was on leave to study and catch up with the bounteous chapters. My wish now is to get good grade for this subject.

Overall, the course was truly a good learning experience. This is one of my 2008 resolutions that I have achieved. It is to be bibically rooted and built-up.

The result, the bible became more alive to me and crystal clear. I used to struggle reading the bible due to the different cultural and rich historical background. I can now imagine myself in the situation or the historical setting everytime when I am reading it.

What have I learnt?
God is awesomely amazing.

What did I endure most?
I enjoyed myself as I endured through my weekly classes, assignments and tests. Sigh, due to time constraints.

What do I enjoy most?
The supper time after class :)

Significant message of God
It is the grace of God. Many of us find it difficult to get our way to heaven or maybe try to purchase our way to heaven through good deeds and unceasing charity. However, we can never earn our way to God, our Maker.

Only through His Son Jesus Christ, who died in obedience on the cross for the mankind. There is this one criminal said to Jesus when they were hung on the cross, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

Jesus replied to him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

It was the faith of the repented criminal saved him. It was the grace of God who forgiven the criminal. Grace is something undeserving and we need it.

What's Next?

Hmm... my first quarter of 2008, to seek God first. As for my second quarter I am looking forward for financial planning - a life time planning. I want to be a good steward of God, by handling his earthly resources.

A Funny Discovery at Site

My colleagues and I went for a luncheon at site. I was eating joyfully, chomping my chicken wing nicely until my colleague Asilah said to the contractor, "Betul ke? papan tanda tu tulis Di larang BERAK?"

Betul....it says, "Please do not poo in the building. Fine RM 100.00. Hygiene first."

We were laughing at it because, usually the main message for the construction workers are safety first, clean lines, monitoring, etc but this....hilarious. hehehe

Beautiful People

Last Sunday, I followed Calvin to Beautiful Gate around 3.00pm, a home for the disables in SS2. We were there to pass some donated fire extingusher to them. They are mini fire distinguisher which are very portable. It is helpful for them as they can make a living out of it.

Calvin was explaining on how to use the fire extinguisher.

Really cool experience and an eye opener for me. This girl is 13 years old. Her name is Poon Bau Yee. Yes, she is on a wheelchair. She was so excited when I took out my camera to take her picture and started giving me her best post and smiles. Isn't she adorable?

Her favourite pass time is reading. They don't have much hobbies, mostly are readings. I asked her if she is studying, she told me that their teacher would come to teach them english, maths and mandrin. One teacher teaches all age group.

Khor Yah May is 20 years old. Told me that she has been staying in this disable home for the past 10 years. He family is living in Kuala Lumpur. She told me that her father could not take care of her because he is diagnosed with heart attack. I find her very friendly and they always joyfully smiling.

This man is very creative. You may find him selling his handiworks during the SS2 pasar malam (night market) on every Monday night.

Do you have sometime to spare with them? You don't need much, just skip your TV for 15 minutes and drop by to say "hi" to them. Not only your smile enlightens them but theirs too!

My Chocolate Brownies

This is so easy to make. Last Thursday, my grandma from Kuching came to my house and she was going away the next day. So, I decided to make ourselves some brownies treat. I did it right after my work, imagine how tired could I be.

Well, what you need is a "Steam Brownies Premix" to make your baking successful (and your BF will be so impressed) and they only cost you RM 8.90. You will also need six (6) eggs, 1tbs of baking powder, 1/2 tbs bicarbonate soda, 200 grams of butter and 200 grams of water. The golden rule is to always FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS.

First, you may need some basic baking tools.

Secondly, make sure you put all your ingredients into mixer. Mix them thoroughly.

Prep time: 30-40 minutes

Thirdly, pour into your moulding tray and make sure it is 90% full. Steam it for 30 minutes

Serve your loved ones and who knows? You may have sweeten their day! :)

Jut Put Everything Good Into Your Pot

Simple simple simple. Simplicity is the best. I would really love to be like some of the famous chefs like Jamie Oliver, Christian J.Fischer, or maybe our very own Amy Beh. Oh well, how about starting with spaghetti? Like mine? Just throw everything good into your pot! :P

1. Brocolli & Chicken Stew Spaghetti

Prep time: 30-45 minutes

• Olive oil, lotsa chopped garlic & onions into the pot
• A bottle of spagghetti paste & spagghetti noodles
• Tomatoes, capsicums, broccolis, red chilies for flavoring, parsley or coriander, chicken, seafood, etc
• Boil till it is soft.

You can make it soupy as it can be served as a tomato soup too.

2. Cheese & Herbs Spaghetti
Prep time: 20 minutes
My recommendation to you is this. Or maybe if you are in piggy mood. You can see the ingredients on the picture. Basically, it will not make your cooking tired. You don't have to think or run around the town like a rat just to buy that special ingredient or herb. Just get everything on the supermarket shelf. Cool?

Other type of spaghetti you can try. How about Tuna and Chilies Spaghetti???

Pay yourself into savings of $5 a day? $50 a week? $ 1000 a month or $10,000 a year? According to Joshua Kennon, the first check we should write is to ourselves by depositing into our brokerage, mutual funds or retirement funds.
